Date: 2007-08-30 12:39 pm (UTC)Anyway - this is a very strange compilation - about 50/50 split between actual 'driving music' (ie Dadrock as it is Dads Who Be Doing The Driving) and power ballads. I mean, that Foreigner song is amazing but why is it on here and not eg Chris Rea's 'Road To Hell'? Surely the latter is a mandatory inclusion on All Driving Albums Ever?

Date: 2007-08-30 01:07 pm (UTC)Other great driving music = Eurobeat! but possibly only if you want to go REALLY FAST. Also, oddly enough, Boredoms' 'Seadrum'.

Date: 2007-08-30 01:02 pm (UTC)I ticked Nickeback cause I was scared nobody else would and I thought it deserved at least one tick. The Roxette choice should have been "Listen to Yr Heart" or "Fading Like a Flower", but this one is tickworthy anyways. Had to untick Billy Idol at the last second :(.

Date: 2007-08-30 01:13 pm (UTC)The omission is Tom Petty's American Girl, though that's significantly more upbeat than most of the stuff here I suppose.

Date: 2007-08-30 01:15 pm (UTC)I had no problem getting to 13! Yall crazy. Ones I feel strongly about:
Poison - Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Mr. Big - To Be With You
Foreigner - I Want to Know What Love Is
The Bangles - Eternal Flame
Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)
That Mr. Big song in particular is great!

Re: HUH?
Date: 2007-08-30 02:57 pm (UTC)Baby's are 70s britrock
Bad English is an 80s hair metal band. This was their big monster balld. It's awful.
"All By Myself" is originally by Eric Carmen, tho Celine Dion does the most famous version.
