This is a community for people who believe that pop music is a good thing.

The definition of 'pop music' is left up to you, but it probably includes at least some stuff that gets in the charts. However all types of music may be taken seriously or mocked mercilessly (often at the same time).

A recent poll showed that we are 3.53% indie.

Membership: if you created your journal very recently, have never posted any entries
or comments and have no friends, we may be reluctant to add you to our community. Drop us an email (katstevens at livej0urn4l d0t c0m) or leave a comment on any post to let us know you're a human being, and we'll go from there. You must be a member to post an entry, but anyone with a LJ account or Open ID can comment on public entries (do say hello!).

Anonymous comments: Unfortunately we've had to disable these due to the high amount of spam. The good news is that LJ accounts are free to sign up for, and you can also use OpenID accounts to post comments if you really hate LJ that much. Again if there's a problem, email katstevens at livejournal and we'll try and sort something out.

Links, MP3s, enthusiasms, debates are all very welcome. If you're promoting an event (club night, gig, conference, whatever) then by all means tell us about it but make sure it's pop-friendly, and put the details under an LJ-cut - thanks! (Clashes in definitions of 'pop-friendy' occur at the poster's own risk.) Please don't advertise anything for sale.

If you're posting links to online audio, please make them friends-only. Thanks!
