Cheers erupt from the J-Lo fanclub as she squeezes into the final behind Outkast, Eve & Gwen, Missy and Mis-teeq. Sophie E-B on the other hand is wiping her tears on Dude from The Feeling's velvet jacket sleeve.

On to heat #6, which is absolutely banging in my opinion, but who will make it through?

I wish I'd thought to nominate 'Get It Faster' -this one is also acetastic tho. JEW = another one of those bands that's getting better as I age and stop thinking the lyrics are omgsorelevanttominelief.

Edit: Also, I think it is quite poptimist! It's got a dancefloor in the lyrics!

Yes, although I'm not a big fan of their work pre-Bleed American; Clarity just has the most horrible production on, and I've no idea why everyone's such a fan of Lucky Denver Mint.

This, though, is first year at University and is from a cracking album. Did I mention how good they are live? They're very good live.

Tbh I've never heard anything pre-Bleed American and thought it was their first album. *goes to get self a BE A REAL FAN icon*

For me it is my GCSEs, when I was very lonely and angry but used to have quite cheery moments to that and 'beautifulgarbage' whilst I was (SHAME ALERT) reading the Wheel Of Time instead of revising. Although that was 2002 so I was presumably being slow on the uptake. (and also at the time considered this very top secret shameful pop activity as opposed to hideous noises listened to the rest of the time)
