Heat #2 was a close battle, but ultimately Madison Avenue pipped Madge to the post to join Kelis, Dr Dre & Eminem, Sweet Female Attitude and Mint Royale in the 2000 final. So who's up next? Surely not more Kelis?

Ties and runoffs

My suspiscion is that a chunk of us WANT a runoff, between as many tracks as they can engineer given the state of the poll, and have been voting strategically in order to ensure it. (I know I have).

What that says about the process as a whle I'm not sure. But I am kind of lookign forward to that runoff a whle lot. Especially so now that Toni is in it. :)

Also, if just one Wu-Tang clan fan wants, they can shift their Gravel Pit vote (since that's easily safe) over to "I Can't Go To Sleep" and get IT to be tied for fifth on 15 as well.

I was trying to avoid a run-off b/c I want Lil' Kim to go through and if 'Hip Hop' and 'Hot Boyz' are in the run-off I suspect people will not listen to me and Steve plaintively wailing "but they're 1999!" from the sidelines. (I think 'How Many Licks?' is the best of the three ANYWAY, but the others are more canon...)

i can't figure out if i prefer How Many Licks to Hot Boyz but have voted the former in the tie-break (sacrificing poor St Et also) because i figure Missy will get more support uh
