With this and Alphabeat it's like there's a bit of pop which has dropped any pretence of just 'referencing' the 80s and are just in full-on pastiche mode. Which is great, I mean, I remember Sly Fox too! But with this I think there's a really good song and the curatorial production gets in its way - all those kitschy sproingy noises are a distraction really. The nostalgia fest only works when the material's weak.

So I still really like it, because it's a good tune, but the production's getting horribly in the way.

Okay, I"m starting to agree with this. Catchy song, but the blips and beeps are actually quite obstructive; you actually have to listen REALLY HARD to hear the melody [/geir] and I find this very annoying. This didn't seem a problem before for Annie as the music was seldom as BUSY as this.

Also the ring-ding bit and the bit at the end are pretty stupid non-sequiturs.
