Papa Don't Preach is excellent. I never used to like it now I would recognise it as one of her best singles, although I don't think of it as one of the best to dance to. It's all about the strings intro really.

Yes, the strings ARE great, now that everyone has droned on about them, I remember and agree. Still, when "Cannonball" comes on in the background it still makes me stop in my tracks.
