• It’s one of those songs where every single word, every single nuance in Mariah’s voice is so important – it’s a real emotional rollercoaster, there’s no way you’re not living every emotional twist with her. The lyrics are amazing – “the pain reflected in this song ain’t even half of what I’m feeling inside”. It’s really breathless too, everything kind of stumbles and pours out of her, it’s a messy splurge of emotion but it’s totally focused and completely…real. The outro, the one chorus repeated with Mariah hollering just once over the top, and that final sustained echoing note fading out to close…incredible. It’s a good comparison point for ‘Irreplaceable’ I think…

Love 'Shake It Off' and 'It's Like That' as well.

I like the fact it's deceptively short. It's a huge ballad but manages to stay within the confines of my attention span and the shortness prevents it becoming annoying.
