I can't remember hearing any older Muse either! But I don't get why "Supermassive Black Hole" is meant to be any better than average.

It's thankfully a little lighter on the emo wailing than most Muse songs. And unlike all Muse singles before it it actually sounds relatively 'fun' for them. Still over-rated tho i agree (but i ticked it anyway!)

It's also a lot gayer than even Muse normally manage, which is a Good Thing.

Sure, but anything featuring the word "trader" is automatically yellow brick streets ahead in the gaystakes.

I quite like Muse and I couldn't work that out either. I actually think it's one of the weakest songs on the album, which have lots of very camp indeed bits. They really come into their own live, where Matt Bellamy appears to be channeling the spirit of Freddie Mercury.
