As I have said elsewhere, the Muse love is like the 'Dakota' love. Wilful contrarianism. Because not only are both rubbish, they are both rubbish in EXACTLY the same way as before, ie nothing has changed, ie if you say you like nu-Muse but not old-Muse, or if you like 'Dakota' but not other Stereophonics, that is 1x BIG LIE.

I can't remember hearing any older Muse either! But I don't get why "Supermassive Black Hole" is meant to be any better than average.

I quite like Muse and I couldn't work that out either. I actually think it's one of the weakest songs on the album, which have lots of very camp indeed bits. They really come into their own live, where Matt Bellamy appears to be channeling the spirit of Freddie Mercury.
