A very mixed bag, Now 49 - for every Destiny's Child making a (somewhat delayed) bow in a Now poll, there's a Dido. For every Mis-Teeq, a Marti Pellow. A number of strong candidates should make for an intriguing poll.

The last Now poll was the closest for AGES, with Gorillaz finally beating Shaggy and Nelly F by one vote - "Clint Eastwood" is the lowest-rated winner ever, which makes up slightly for it being the first one I don't actually like.

i think people are far too harsh on Outkast re albums.

i think their inconsistency in this regard is no worse than any other band, certainly not in the hip-hop domain (all hip-hop artists have rub skits on their albums, even Wu-Tang or whoever made some filler)

i can easily consider the many spectacular bits/tracks on their last album more easily than any bad bits.

there was certainly pretension on the album esp. from Andre, but i thought it was backed up by terrific artistry (man).

i guess they're singled out in this way because they're quite poppy but also renowned for innovation in ways that other hip-hoppers aren't.

i think outkast are quite boring (i like eminem)

it basically means there aren't many if any other hip-hop acts out there who could've or would've come up with something like 'B.O.B.'

hindsight i suppose, but it just feels 'correct'!

someone like Ludacris could've been capable of it but i don't think he WOULD'VE done it, for whatever reason

Missy could've done it and that would've been interesting...maybe even more of a hit?
