Obviously I forgot Blunto when picking my worst. "Wisemen" isn't only this month's worst single, it's James Blunt's worst single.

But I'm not going to go back and change my vote, as We Are Scientists annoyed me nearly as much, to the point of me actually google-searching the lyrics so I could work out who it was that I hated.

i think 'Wisemen' is infinitely better than 'Yer Bootiful' if only because it's not so ubiquitous and much easier to ignore.

i love the Hot Chip track and 'Red Dress' but had to pick Delays as fave because it's been locked in my head since watching the youtube vid last night.

Pussycat Dolls just leave me so cold.

i would love to see the Charlotte Church song get many ticks - it's nice and the video is even nicer.

Be Your Own Pet are quite good for raucous nindie. As are The Rifles (as in THE ETON RIFLES BECAUSE THEY SOUND LIKE THE JAM DYS).

I have no grebt enthusiasm for any of these, by the way - Hot Chip's is the most imaginative but also kind of irritating after 3 plays. Sugababes and Madge were solid second single picks.

Even though Sugababes was a third single! I think 'Red Dress' is better than 'Push The Button', myself. I have never heard the Stalinist rewrite of it with Mutya expunged from its history though.

Also the Man With Guitar rmx of 'Sorry' fully vindicates its being a single (Man With Guitar being JLC not a man with a guitar) - so much better than the original! If I had my way the Confessions singles would be 'Hung Up', 'Jump', 'Get Together' and 'I Love New York'.

this year i have been terrible at teh pop. i can recall exactly ONE of these - the GA one (obv) - even tho i'm told i'd like Hot Chip i haven't taken the time. (the last album didn't set me up to)

I was very annoyed with the Hot Chip album, as their singles were ace and they were ace live but the album was RUB. Boo!

Black Eyed Peas' Pump It has def grown on me. I think it's a decent attempt at using the sampled-to-death Dick Dale riff. I may be biased though.
