If he had released 'Crack Music' then he might have had to answer some awkward questions about why no Game verse. And he never puts out the best track as a single hence no 'Gone'.
With The College Dropout even though there was some totally ace stuff not released as a single, all the singles were Proper Singles - none of them were underwhelming in any way. Whereas while I do like 'Touch The Sky' (and the one with Maroon 5 bloke) - wtf? It's an album track through and through.
WTF! 'Touch The Sky' samples an incredibly well-know and popular song and has a ridiculously upbeat, triumphant vibe. It's basically Kanye as Puff Daddy, for better or for worse - therefore inevitably a single.
