Now 45 is - appropriately - the biggest now ever, with 45 45s, BLIMEY DO YOU SEE, anyway this means that for once we have no room for the "BUM MORE LIKE" no-ticks-here options. And do you know what? You won't be needing them anyway! This Now has the first appearances of Craig David, Atomic Kitten, Daphne And Celeste, Kelis....and Kevin and Perry. It's a new millennium and pop rules o'er all - get your ticky fingers ready...

Actually, I'm not sure about this myself now I come to think about it, but I *think* this is the first appearance of an FT Focus Group winner (Teh Thong Song). And it's not doing as well (despite being the best thing on here). Might be interesting to see how 2006 canon-forming compares with 2000-and-onwards canon-forming.

I can't actually remember what won the first FT Focus Group - I know that Sisqo won the second.

This is actually maybe why I'm lukewarm on it, it slightly predates my Pop Awakening and so I haven't really reassessed a lot of the stuff on it (We're also past the point where this stuff hasn't been up for revival either).
