What happened w/Madge is that she got very famous and all her older stuff got reissued, so she had TONS of hits very early. Also there are lots more random soundtrack singles than you remember.

Actually Bob Dylan does qualify and he pretty much stopped putting singles out in the late 60s, which is a bonus. Younger poptimists may not find themselves having much to say tho.
