What can possibly win???

Meanwhile when the dust settled on Now 28 none other than BLUR had won it, by one vote over Salt N Pepa and En Vogue, with Prodigy in third. What does this BODE as the Britpop years get rolling? This was actually the single where I started having problems with Oasis, before that I thought they were OK but not my cuppa really.

This was the single I first became aware of Oasis. I thought it was completely unlistenable (his voice!) but my growing loathing was directly correlated to their growing popularity. Even last year, when I walked past the Astoria the day they played, I was shocked and appalled to see a queue stretching into Soho Square; as I recall, my companions had to forcibly drag me from the scene in order to stop me frothing at the mouth and hurling insults at the cvnts in the queue. AAARGH I hate them so much!
