Have pity on poor Erasure, meanwhile, who lose out in a second play-off as Yazz takes Now 13 by one vote. Now 14 was won at a canter by Neneh Cherry's "Buffalo Stance", acclaimed in the comments box as one of the great achievements of the 20th centry. The Fine Young Cannibals, Inner City and Paula Abdul provided cursory resistance. Opprobrium descended largely on M.Ball and Simple Minds (who are back again for more this time).

Oh just everything about Soul II Soul, it's part of my anti-canon, - boring, sensible, worthy music for grown ups. Plus, loads of people liked it at school, therefore, I had to be different - I blame them for my subsequent years of being an outcast! (I may be warping this a little :)
