Have pity on poor Erasure, meanwhile, who lose out in a second play-off as Yazz takes Now 13 by one vote. Now 14 was won at a canter by Neneh Cherry's "Buffalo Stance", acclaimed in the comments box as one of the great achievements of the 20th centry. The Fine Young Cannibals, Inner City and Paula Abdul provided cursory resistance. Opprobrium descended largely on M.Ball and Simple Minds (who are back again for more this time).

Yeah, I missed FYC. And I just listened to that Stevie Nicks track again :

Too rock1st to listen to r0ck! I can't remember anything about the Queen track apart from the obv, following that logic, the rest of it must be pish too.

Yeah, it's a bit rub.

But it's still one of the few tracks here that I own (De La, Neneh and "Back To Life" being the others). I was pretty much buying only stuff endorsed by Reynolds, Stubbs et al in MM by this point.
