Nominations for 2003 will begin on Tuesday in the same format as for 2002 (any UK charting picks plus up to 10 other tracks). I want to get 2003 running quickly though so start thinking about your nominations now!

Not a bad list at all, and some way better than 2001's. Roll on 2003!

i'm gonna nominate fewer songs from now on - less 'stuff i think should be included' and more 'stuff i would actually tick' - this may help speed things up

Oh man but 2003 is such a fantastic year. My current nomination list has 100 things from the chart alone.
From: [identity profile] meserach.livejournal.com
Key to my non-chart nominations for 2003 are answers to the following two questions:

* What year do we count The Dresden Doll's debut, self-titled album as being released in? They released it on their own label in 2003, and then on Roadrunner in 2004.

* What year was Outkast's "SPeakerboxx/THe Love below" released in for our purposes? "Hey Ya!" charts in 2003, and the album was definitely released then in the States, but the album doesn't chart in the UK until 2004....

'Hey Ya' peaked in the singles chart in 2004 (a weaker year overall I'm confident many will agree) - an argument for holding it over until then?
From: [identity profile] ijgrieve.livejournal.com
It entered in Nov 2003, but did not actually peak (at #3) until Feb 2004.

Man I was hoping you'd say 2004 because 2003 is going to be brutal as it is.

Except for Tweet, Miss Kittin and the Clipse, our finalists:

I'll try and get the Second Chance 2002 poll up for either Monday or Tuesday.

Gutted that 2 Months Off didn't make it. Terrible oversight.
