Xtina and her leather chaps storm to the lead in Heat #2 - she's joined in the next round by Fischerspooner, Avril, Ms Dynamite and Nelly & Kelly's morally dubious duet.

What's in store today? Quite fittingly, it's the debut of Sugababes 2.0...

Er, not quite - you get 11 (non-chart) nominations when we get to 2003.

Not that it matters really. In fact, I like your idea better. Maybe Kat will adopt it.

Yes, Jeff's right, on both counts - I didn't say anything because it's a good idea that I was going to introduce for the next heat! Although of course the real reason I didn't say anything was because I forgot.

I think part of the reason I blatantly misinterpreted this is that the "extra nomination" thing is somewhat counter-intuitive and not exactly clear -- i.e., now that I've named "my favorite song I never heard before" in two different 2002 rounds, does that mean I now get two extra nominations (= 12) for 2003, inestead, and they'll keep adding up for every 2002 round I do that? Or is 11 noms for the next year the most you can get?

Also, I'm wondering how useful a motivational tool this is, if nobody else is naming best songs they never heard before. Seems I'm the only person motivated by it. Which can't be good.
