Hm, apparently the lyric is "Our little castle IS a house of cards," can't tell if that's better or worse. I like the past tense for a retrospective, and anyway it seems like the song's perspective is after the fall, so to speak, and it's hard to tell what exactly she's actually saying ("is" or "was") anyway.

The interesting thing about this is the assumption that it's a narrative of decline! Which, I mean, it is in a sense, the decline's there in the piece, but it's not an angle I've pushed particularly hard.
