Best Song of 2001: Heat #4
Jul. 28th, 2009 12:23 pmMissy Elliott gets the highest turnout of the decade so far, with a whopping 49 votes to win heat #3. Daft Punk, S Club 7 and Mary J Blige are safely through, but Alicia and DanBed tie for fifth - see below for the run-off.
Today's poll sees double J-Lo remix action, microgoth, mashups, possible incest and the Jackson Five (sort of). It's heat #4, everybody!

[Poll #1436184]
she must be insane
Date: 2009-07-28 11:48 am (UTC)It's sort of...twin heartbreaks orbiting each other, his love being rejected and hers being unrequited, and you can hear the absolutely unconditional tenderness and generosity in her voice, but there's still that tentative element of fragility because she can't quite say all she wants to...and what an incredible performance from Aaliyah, every line freighted with meaning and packed with emotion. It's my favourite song off the album that is my default Favourite Album Ever.
all of the above seconded
