Fucking 'Reach'. Always hated it, always hated when it came on at student nights in the middle of actually great pop hits and completely harshed my buzz. Just unnecessarily Blue Peter-like and jaunty. POP SHOULD NOT BE KIDS' TV, PEOPLE.

Yeah I actually agree with this. Not about pop not being Kids TV really, I don't care about that, but just about "Reach". Of course I've played it at weddings, but then I've played The La's at weddings.

I'll be nominating S Club Jr's "Automatic High" though when its time comes.

I'll be nominating S Club 7's or 8's "Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You." "Reach" isn't nearly as bad as some of the Cheetah Girls hits.

Lex, I'm not sure how you count "Reach" as kids TV but don't count "Come Clean" and "See You Again" and "Breaking Free" and "Potential Breakup Song" as kids TV.

'Reach' is a joyless piece of forced fun - its jauntiness is bothersome b/c it's so rigidly affixed and ultimately hollow. The song's effect is the opposite of what it says it is. The other songs you cite are actually about stuff, are evocative and emotionally resonant. Basically, they'd be kids' TV shows while S Club 7 would just be kids' TV presenters (even though they WERE a show).
