"The Take Over, The Break's Over" and "Someone Grebt" were 2 of my last cuts from the top 10 so I'm really happy to see they made it anyways. The only one here I haven't heard is the Freemasons one, I'll check it out.

So this basically sets what the top 10 presumably basically has to be. I wonder if there are any shockas awaiting though.

The 'takeover'/'arms race' divide is surprisingly strong, I think? People who love one seem very often to quite strongly dislike the other.

Well, we have 1xUmbrella, 1xAJ&Aly, 1xHannah Montana, 2xBritney, 1xRobin, 1x Avril, 1x Girls Aloud, 1xMIA, 1xSugababes, 1xLeona and 1xLCD (a song which, depending on how much poptimists have found their inner indie kid, won't be safe to discard until all the positions are filled), so plenty of that old Eurovision Factor!

That's true. I just like the idea of having them all in one place for easy comparison, especially since not everyone has access to everyone's ljs and some people submitted different lists to poptimists than they did in their journal.

He listed Girls Aloud, so I think it's the Leona and Sugababes that don't make it. And if there's a surprise entrant, I can't think of one (but then if I could, it wouldn't be a surprise, though I still think it's possible that "Gimme More" doesn't make it, given everyone here but me's relative lack of enthusiasm for it when it came up in posts).
