A question for you Poptimists this fine December morn.

Who is the ultimate Xmas artist?

I imagine many of you will immediately think of Westlife or Slade. But I have a name for you, and that name is Dina Carroll. Remember her? You never EVER hear her music during the year. But come Xmas-time, suddenly she's everywhere. I've heard 'The Perfect Year' twice in 48 hours - once on The Hits TV, and then this morning in the West One Shopping Centre at Bond St tube.

Any other artists you can think of who make a reappearance for a month each December and then vanish for 11 months?

Is Jona Lewie too obvious?

Although he's usually around for about a week, with a few appearances as a talking head on repeats of Top 100 Christmas Songs programmes.

He could be dead for all I know.

But you'll always find him in the kitchen at parties...

(Presumably not just xmas parties, either)

Jona is a good answer. You never hear his other hit.

Although Bing Crosby has to be the ultimate wobs artist. He did so many great Christmas songs, but I don't think I can name another song he did (other than things from movies).
