This was one of a couple of categories where one pick got a LOT of nominations, so we shall see if that translates into head-to-head success.

[Poll #1106005]

MOAR pollage on Monday though I don't know what it'll be. Details of the TRACK OV THE YEAR POLL coming later, or then, or at the weekend or something.

I'm going to let Knash off even tho that photo of her is really bad and should be replaced with a still of her on Ross show.

Why are Panda Bear here? Ridiculous irrational Lexism.

Can't remember how CIWWAF and the PDs actually sound like so will have to, boringly, vote for the Wessies.

most overrated of 07: the LCD Soundsystem and Dizzee albums! only 3 good tracks on either

hmm the title track is one of the three i like, altho the vocal is a bit annoying. 'All My Friends' and 'North American Scum' do little for me.

ha ha yes, it's absurd that it doesn't build on that mantra...but i like the music.

only one good track on the LCD!

disagree on Dizz: there are tracks I listen to more than others but the less-good tracks are rarely ever BAD. still, won't make my top 10.

i thought his new album was infinitely better than his last one.

still, a disappointment compared to his first.

i got told off by a promo company for giving a poor review of the second dizzee album. it wasnt because it was a negative review (allegedly), it was because i just couldnt be bothered to write much about it (i said the best thing about it was the cover of the captain sensible song. ahem)

ah well.

Showtime is pretty good! OK not as consistently amazing as BIDC - few things are - but 'Everywhere' and 'Hype Talk' are two of his best performances - they're so minimal, it's entirely about the rhythm and sound of his voice.

listening to it a year later, i appreciate it a *bit* more. but at the time, i was wanting something as good as BIDC.
and i didnt get it.
so i wrote a three paragraph rant about how i hated it. to which the promo people took issue.

oops :)

I can forgive Knash as I like Foundations despite her annoying voice, it's a great pop song, the strings in particular are really effective.

Westlife still deserve this, I find them as offensive today as when they first started, which is quite an achievement.

I quite like the production on 'Pumpkin Soup' as well. 'Mouthwash' is the worst single of the year however.

Mouthwash is so astoundingly bad, it has stopped my from enjoying the radio or "The Hits" as much as I used to. Whatever else she has done, she gets my vote.
