The much delayed NOUGHTIES GROUP in the Pop Open. I'll be doing reveals for this on Friday and closing date for voting is Monday.

Tracks are available to stream here: http://freakytrigger.co.uk/ft/2007/11/the-pop-open-week-14/

In my humble opinion at least three of these are belters (I'm not saying which) so whether you are a louche pop open regular or a blushing poll virgin this is one to participate in. Remember you can't vote for any tracks you knew already!

[Poll #1092507]

Thanks to alexmacpherson, kill_yr_idols, piratemoggy and w3ft for these tunes.

Track 1: There's an alternate universe in which Joe Strummer is smart enough to fire Bernie Rhodes and not Mick Jones, and therefore the Clash soldier on through 80s, until Mick meets Jazzy B and forms Big Audio Dynamite with him instead of Don Letts. This song comes from that universe.

Track 2: After one listen, this is clearly the standout track in the bunch, although honestly I can't imagine myself ever listening to it again.

Track 3: I wasn't sure if this track didn't make an impression on me, or I was just shellshocked from track two. It wasn't shellshock.

Track 4: I feel like this is an homage to album tracks from early 80s one-hit wonder new wave disco acts. Probably would've liked it more if there was a tune.
