OK clear this up for me - is there a difference between bassline house and niche or are they two words to describe the same thing, like grime and eski in the old days?

Why are people so bad at naming these subgenres? 'bassline' and '4x4' tell us nothing about what distinguishes it from other offshoots of Garage. Niche is really bizarre. The basslines aren't particularly powerful although they do have a memorable characteristic in spite of this I guess. On that basis I am going to call this music THRIBBLE, until I think of something more suitable tomorrow.

I do kinda like this tune but it's still not as good as Jaimeson's 'True', and the video is just rubbish!

Very surreal moment seeing fluxblog post this this week, when jauntyalan (was it you alan?) first boosted this months ago. Objective proof, if you will, that one is way ahead of the curve, at least on this one small point. (Fact, albeit unprovable - I was the first person to scrobble Lily Allen on last.fm!)
