My recollection: when the promotion cycle for their 4th(?) album - the one with On The Ropes on it - got going, the record was trailed with news stories that Miles had written a CONTROVERSIAL and HARD HITTING track with SWEARING and everything on it, saying that child molesters weren't very nice. There was then much debate (i.e. more press releases faithfully reproduced on p3 of the NME news section) over whether this would be too tough a subject for thee charts. But I can't remember whether they ever did release it.

Also ISTR Miles Hunt "having a go" at Suede (not about being a p43do).

And then the album flopped and Hunt WENT GRUNGE!
