Argh, hardest canon ever!

BTW, Radiccio EP was the one with the original version of Halcyon.

Only five! That is cruel.

I got kicked out of an RE class in Year 9 for playing the intro to Satan* through mini speakers at the back of the class.

*although, isn't that whole intro nicked off a Butthole Surfers song?

Yep. It differs sharply after the sample :)

Basically I knew lots of people who loved Orbital but never took E, and no-one who liked non-Clouds Orb without the help of dope.

Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld is one of the best records ever made. I'm not saying I've never smoked weed, mind you, but I liked the Orb for about 2 years before I did!

Wait a minute, didn't Style chart too?

Perpetual Dawn WARNING

The hit single version of Perpetual Dawn is a STINKER - it has the woman going "Perpetual Dawn....infinite sunriiiiise" inna Bodyform style.

(The album version is totally awesome obv and an easy tick)

In fact, didn't lots of their later stuff chart?

Easiest canon ever - the five current leaders are obvious stand-outs
(unless there are awesome tracks on those anonymous-sounding Orbital EPs I'm overlooking or something)

I ticked "Satansatansatansatan (live)" rather than the other Satan since that's the version I own.

Don't worry about it, my votes would stay the same!

Nah, tough luck baldies.

Unless they put their Doctor Who theme out as a single.

do you know i'm not sure that i've got ABTU. i have ufORB on vinyl (opened, sadly), and i think i had a tape of remixes of ABTU, rather than the proper version...

1. 3D Space Chess on TOTP (thanx poll for reminding me of this)
2. "Clitus, I'm BORED. What PLAYTHING can you offer me today?"
3. Their "huge ever growing..." title has become 1x grebt MEME
4. Explaining that their album title Live Orb 93/Evil Bro 39 was a reference to H1TLER!
5. Finding said live album on a grumpy pub landlord's jukebox that summer and putting an entire 70 minute ambient disc on for a quid.

ABTU is usually £3 in HMV sales nowadays. I picked it up for that much a couple of years back when I finally came to terms with the fact that my ancient tape copy was lost forever.

ABTU is the record C120 tapes were designed for!

Has anyone heard any of their MINIMAL stuff on Kompakt etc? I think I heard a track once and was sort of underwhelmed.

Yeah, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Thomas Fehlmann's schaffel stuff was pretty boshing tho.
