A deluge of new entries this week, some of which should spark a bit of conversation. So I'll let you get on with it!

Am actually kind of conflicted here! I dunno, I used to have time for both the White Stripes and QOTSA but neither of these are grabbing me at all - they start off decently (and I do like the organ squiggle on the WS song) but I lose interest quickly, they don't seem to go anywhere. 'Icky Thump' is better than that annoying 'Doorbell' shit which was the last White Stripes song I heard, though. I think I'll end up ticking them both, marginally - I suspect that the shit youtube quality isn't doing QOTSA any favours.

What I am 100% sure about is that they aren't a patch on MS KELLY! 'Like This' is amazing, so relaxed and fun.

Pleasantly surprised by Unklejam, I'd previously dismissed them on the grounds that I first heard about them on P**justice but this is quite nice. Could do with being more memorable but it's probably a grower, and a stylishly done one.

Also pleasantly surprised by Ghosts but not enough to tick because of his voice. Tori Amos has some gorgeous MOR propulsive balladry along these lines on her new album and I have that so don't need this.

Sinclar and Corenell - redundant, in an annoying way.

Chemical Bros - retire please, old men.

Fray, Klaxons, Holloways - revolting.

I looked up the lyrics and they appear to be about illegal imigrants? And how America is hypocritical about them? Or something boring like that. He's written lyrics I've liked before, not that any spring to mind right now.

He uses his voice as an instrument -- there are not lyrics. Obviously it's by far the worst instrument on the track, but whatever.
