Last time on the #1 polls, 2002 saw the battle of the girlbands, with Sugababes narrowly pipping Gels Alahd to the post, with Freak Like Me getting a massive 41 ticks. Now dudes, its time to rewind twenty years - oh man, I've been looking forward to this year for ages. Boyband FITES! Yazoo covers getting the wobs top spot! Dave Bow-tie rescuing his career! The New Edition one is awesome, and it's the basis of Trina and Lil' Brianna's equally fantastic 'Kandi' as a bonus.

A bunch of blokes with beards singing a capella. It starts with them making strange yelping noises, IIRC.

It's used to devastating effect at the climax of Wong Kar-wai's Fallen Angels. It's faintly ridiculous, but I love it.

The main one ended up in Coronation Street eventually. I forget as who though. He looked like a binman, but then they all did, and I think that was partly the point.
