Hang on. Sugarhill Gang surely? I'm not even sure I heard the IBB version. So what I've known and loved is...a cover of a cover? whuh?

Given that the Sugarhill Gang's listed as one of the samplers of the IBB, I think someone's just being a bit oblivious by assuming they covered it in some fashion. It's not hard to find the IBB version (which Missy samples as well on something - We Run This?) on YouTube: here's (http://youtube.com/watch?v=YkGTzp5BPgc) a version with the most screen famous cowboy of all time in.
