I thought it was a bit disappointing from the man whose previous effort (not including production duties) was the totally genius 'Ooh Wee' featuring Nate Dogg and Ghostface Killah.
It's great! I like it more than the original! (Well, obviously I am just saying that to annoy Smiths fans, but I think it's an interesting thing to do to the original anyway!)
B-b-b-but it just sounded LAME to me! I mean, I admit I was annoyed as it's one of my very favourite Smiths songs, but when you start adding "Oh yeah"s to it it's just... utterly wrong (if you're going to cover a song that has the lyrics "he broke my spleen and then my knee and then he really laid into me, Friday night at outpatients'..." then you do not start babbling OH YEAH in it just because you can't bear to not hear the sound of your own voice for one second of the song ARGHHH and the worst thing was, I was just WAITING for an oh yeah.)
I just think the style of the cover doesn't suit the song at ALL, though it's probably a brave choice etc etc.

Yes: totally genius, though I remain open minded to the cover of Stop Me... I can't decide if it's awful or ace.
