finally have an afternoon free at home so spent it listening to martinskidmore's poptops o'2006 --- and find i am v.conflicted on J.COCKER esq.: i kind of think "(cvnts are still) running the world" is a really AWFUL song, dreary and ploddy in sound certainly, and the sentiment, well, this is a perfect case of "why are the ppl who voice my approximate feelings such tw@ts sometimes?"

i used to LOVE "common people" and then i kind of suddenly went off it hugely, and i'm not sure if i've ever liked another pulp song -- JC just seems a moany old git

haha well bcz while springcleaning in the kitchen i wz enjoying everything on the CD w/o really knowing what any of it was from the other room except THIS leapt out as awful, and i couldn't imagine who it was -- NICK CAVE? TOM WAITS? -- and when i came to look i wz surprised and disappointed
