November's top 40 singles step up to the plate (Girls Aloud having won October's poll comfortably - squeezing into joint second place in the overall leaderboard with 28 votes). But how many of them cut the mustard? God I'm hungry...

I refused to d/l the Chris Martin version because I love the album version, but I can hear exactly where his voice would have gone if it hadn't been taken out, and it would have been this awful high-pitched weedy thing (not unlike a dog barking at the new moon) which would have ruined it.

I have decided that Chris Martin is a Good Thing when he is writing songs for other people; the evidence of this and 'See It In A Boy's Eyes' (better than anything on rub new Jamelia album!) cannot be ignored.

Gwen Stefani's 'Early Winter' (virtually the only listenable thing on her new album!) gives me the fear that I might have to say this about the Keane dumpling boy soon.

Ha, I know nothing about the dumplin' Keane boy other than hearing several Keane tracks once and deciding this was worth a tick. Agree that "Early Winter" is the best thing on the Gwen, though I'll prop for a few other tracks as well (including "Wind It Up," whose force is undeniable, which I suppose enhances its unlistenability for those who find it unlistenable).
