I liked all the ones which used old synthpop backings too.

The basic problem with mashups is that the ideal would be two 8-out-of-10 songs turned into a 10-out-of-10, but these were very rare. More likely it would be 10/10 to 8/10 (or less), or one of the components would only be a 4/10 at best and drag the whole thing down.
