(I used to own it. It has its moments, which are actually really unmomentous compared to actual moments, but is really really unremarkable and the critical love BEMUSES me. what are these people hearing in this boring music?! what?!)

1. It's very pretty
2. They have a great knack of making guitars not sound like guitars and making cool noises
3. They are very good at doing crescendos

Most of it I either dislike or am fairly indifferent to but the first 3 tracks are grebt:

Airbag - my favourite Radiohead song and it deals best with their 'themes' i.e. humanity and technology, powerlessness, the interface between self-hatred and hope, not being very good at social skills etc etc.

Paranoid Android - very very funny (and catchy)

Subterranean Homesick Alien - heartbreakingly lovely guitar stuff.

Yes but it is funnier in that way than any other song of the last 20 years - it is transcendentally ridiculous and all the better for it.
