If it's Thursday, it must be 1994! The grip of alt.rock and hip-hop - mostly alt.rock - on the Pazz and Jop poll is close to total, and Anglophiles aren't carrying much weight. This does mean that we've got a lot of tracks to rate that never came near a Now album, though!

The chorus: the pang/twist on "Can't Fight the Seether." That was the difference between my ticking it and not ticking it. But not second-best of the year; nor second-best on this list.

One thing no one's mentioned, but some critics (e.g., Xhuxk) will not duplicate someone they've already voted for on the albums list. Don't know how many critics have that peculiarity, and it didn't undermine Nirvana in '91 or Kanye last year.

Anyway, "Doll Parts" shoulda won, and Hole did win the alb poll.
