Back after a short absence it's the Pazz and Jop poll for 1991 - a particular blockbuster of a poll this with TEN ticks to be shared between 28 singles (would have been 29 but for C&C Music Factory cropping up last year too).

Nothing. May not have even been released here as a single. Shamen did well on the "club play" chart (reached #1 a couple of times), but the only single to make the Hot 100 was "Move Any Mountain," which peaked at 38.

I suspect the erm 'social conditions' needed for Ebenezer Goode to be a US hit were absent.

for some mental 11 year old me reason, i slowed down the tape of Kim Wilde's "chequered love" to count the beeps/beats before the song started proper.
