this is how much a student nme-ist i was: i went to the reading festivals in 89 (sugarcubes! new order!) and 90 (wedding present! inspirals!).

ever the one to choose the loser, i thought Happy Mondays a bit meh, but loved the inspirals. Joe EP - corr!

The Inspirals main sin was to be a bit stodgy, especially on their slower records (they're a good example of the trade-offs you make when trying for Importance). "Joe" and "Find Out Why" are good!
