Right, after 72 polls and a squidillion votes it's come down to this. In one corner the Pet Shop Boys, in the other Pulp.

I would do pictures of them but we all know what they look like.

[Poll #806433]

Please answer both questions!

ATTSS is rather clumsy rock at that, a beat that pounds and plods (which rock needn't do), and the yearning moment of "this is not enough" is not enough to compensate. Also is worse than five or six tracks on the second t.A.T.u. alb.

It may just be which version I heard first, but I stil think any weakness on ATTSS is primarily the result of the girls singing in their second language. Something about the vocals is just a little too stiff.

clumsiness is actually something i also like in the runaways -- if the machinery were too driven in this opening moment, the question ("will we make it out the other side?") wouldn't be left open enough

(joan jett did; frankie not so much -- tho they sounded much more as if they were going to)

I don't find ATTSS clumsy at all - I love that the poundingness of the beat takes it out of the rock territory it starts off in.

I only like one song on the second album, 'All About Us', it was a real disappointment (esp given that the first album is start-to-finish perfect)
