Did you hear the Robbie bit on the podcast? I like it a lot!

I have to say the new PSB single = disappointing. Right idea, poor execution.

Ah, I expected not to like it, but it's really crept up on me. It's, maybe, the 'light...and shade' bit, it just sums up the disco miserablism of Ver Pets so well it's almost a generic convention, and it just sounds so right.

God, I must have had too many jam tarts this afternoon.

What I like about PSBs though is for me it's always the little things - 'you leave home, and you don't go back' in King's Cross, the spoken word bit in the middle of Domino Dancing with the Spanish guitar...even 'Listen/As you call my name' in that Electronic record. And Minimal fits in so well. I was a bit disappointed by the singles off the last album so it made me happy.

The Robbie single is ace - I think it's doing a similar thing to the Justin single but better, which has kind of amazed me as I've always waaaaay preferred Justin to Robbie. First time I heard it in full I was a bit WTF? But lloved it second time round.

what i've heard of the new Robbie on the Ppodcast sounds okay - nice in a way to hear him stealing from Sly & Robbie's 'Boops (Here To Go)'
