You really let me down yesterday.

Ciara’s ‘Goodies’ is a poptimist touchstone, and Miss Ciara Princess Harris a poptimist heroine on a par with Kelis, Britney, Xtina, Aaliyah, Rachel and Kylie. Yet you did not give her the respect she deserved as the first lady of crunk’n’b. To add insult to injury, she appears to have been beaten by both past-it Chemical Brothers and dreadful indie Killers.

I’m disappointed in you.

That was Ciara's follow-up '1 2 Step'! That was brilliant too, as was the third single 'Oh' ("they got their southern cookin', they got them fellas lookin'"). 'Goodies' was the one which went "if you're lookin' for the goodies, keep on lookin' cos they stay in the jar".

I don't eat the octopus. Or duck. Partly a hangover from vegetarianism and thinking animals are still my friends rather than irritatingly cuter than me, partly because I don't like the taste.

Besides, when you go to the All You Can Eat Chinese buffet you can have crispy seaweed with plum sauce in a pancake.
