Hey Poptimists!

Would you like a weekly (or fortnightly depending on how much of it there is) post with backlinks to that week's actual primary music content (i.e. video club posts, MP3 posts)? I just wondered if enough people like to catch up at weekends to warrant one.

And if you can think of any other nu features you would like on Poptimists, then SPEAK NAO.

style conflict decision

OK I prefer the "the" in a bandname to NOT be capitalised (i dislike captial drift and stand manfully against it like little hans w.fingah in dyke-ah)

well i just got to marking up this phrase "bands like The Smiths and The The": obviously that is "the Smiths", equally obviously NOT "the The" --> hence i have decided that the name "The The" falls into the same category as "Liquid Liquid" (or insert bettah examples but this is all my mopey man-fluey brane can muster at the moment)

The clear favourite at the start, Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' topped the pops in 1989 with 39 ticks. Cor! 'Ferry Cross The Mersey' on the other hand, got fewer ticks than either of the Jive Bunny megamixes, oh dear. Today's year was so good, er... James Blunt wrote a song about it? Perhaps he was a big fan of G4ry Gl1tt3r? Behold! It's 1973.
