A very mixed bag, Now 49 - for every Destiny's Child making a (somewhat delayed) bow in a Now poll, there's a Dido. For every Mis-Teeq, a Marti Pellow. A number of strong candidates should make for an intriguing poll.

The last Now poll was the closest for AGES, with Gorillaz finally beating Shaggy and Nelly F by one vote - "Clint Eastwood" is the lowest-rated winner ever, which makes up slightly for it being the first one I don't actually like.

I was well into R1's "Dance Anthems" in the first few months of 2001. I even bought that year's Ministry of Sound Spring Annual CD. Then I moved to Belgium and lost touch with what was big in t'clubs in UK.

I just clicked on the link and this 2001 version of Love Parade is not a patch on the original. I should really go back and untick, but it's got so few votes I won't bother.
