Sugababes 'Red Dress' came top in the March poll which seems like a good thing even though it's a track from a 2005 album and was re-recorded with the rub new one. No time to muse on that much further though as it's time for the next lot - will it be an April shower of sh1te? judging by the list below, not quite - some real corkers here: [Poll #739256]

I still haven't tracked down the original version of Trina's 'Here We Go' with Teedra Moses instead of Donkey Rowland - I hope someone can HELP ME OUT HERE.

Also I will reiterate from the previous post that the Trina album The Glamorest Life is very good indeed, though if you haven't got her 2002 tour de force Diamond Princess that is even better (ie one of the best hip-hop albums EVER MADE!).

it's actually properly called "the UK theme" it has bits of various old songs as listed here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Theme

you'd love it, what with it being A MASH UP :)

As usual I have almost certainly heard a ton of these but don't know what they are by name - I AM SUCH A GRANDAD.

One of my ticks is ironical.

I can't get past the idiocy of the lyrics and Pink's own self-righteousness, really - it's not as bad as 'Trouble' but I long for the days when she actually did really good r&b instead of all this authenticity bollocks.

I can't believe Gnarls Barkley are deleting their single! It is good! And could give Bwyan Adams a run for his record-breaking money!

CONFUSION

From: [identity profile] alexmacpherson.livejournal.com
'Crazy' and 'SOS' are probably the clumsiest and least interesting vaguely-r&b songs listed (though both still v good obv), certainly compared to Nelly, D4L, Trina, Sean Paul - yet they are the ones out in front!

Cos they're pop as well as r'n'b? I dunno. TBH apart from the Trina I can't remember any of the others.

In ten years time we will look back at Gnarls Barkley with as much horror as we do now at Everything I Do, I Do It For You. They are essentially the same record.

That song is fucking genius, especially the video, which left me frantically attempting to re-find it on Fizz for several hours, to the vast annoyance of my boyfriend. Why it was not MASSIVE or at least moderately expansive in the manner that a shoebox is, as opposed to its actual matchbox it achieved, I really do not know.

Remarkably, the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZO0egREjUQ) manages to make the song seem even more hateful.
