2001: A Pop Odyssey! As the Now series gets ever closer to today, a significant first - the first (modern) reality TV pop hit in the form of "Pure And Simple". Also debuting: Gorillaz, Bob The Builder, unlikely Poptimist icons Feeder, and nu-metal in the apologetic shape of Papa Roach.

All Saints' "Pure Shores" won Now 47 - hatas can reflect that it got one of the lowest winning %ages ever, with only 2/3 approval. Modjo second, Nelly third, and EVERYTHING got at least one vote - will we be able to say the same after this poll?

I am a good example of Gorillaz hate -- I can see nothing to like in them AT ALL, and C loves them, so it's not as if I haven't had to listen to their drivel.
