2001: A Pop Odyssey! As the Now series gets ever closer to today, a significant first - the first (modern) reality TV pop hit in the form of "Pure And Simple". Also debuting: Gorillaz, Bob The Builder, unlikely Poptimist icons Feeder, and nu-metal in the apologetic shape of Papa Roach.

All Saints' "Pure Shores" won Now 47 - hatas can reflect that it got one of the lowest winning %ages ever, with only 2/3 approval. Modjo second, Nelly third, and EVERYTHING got at least one vote - will we be able to say the same after this poll?

[Poll #738675]

TICKY TO RIDE.

i'm pretty sure almost all of you would like this Modjo track if only you could remember it :(

from now on i'm going to see what's on the NOW and upload any tracks that are good but i suspect people won't remember

weird thing about 'Chillin' is that it turns up in karaoke lists a lot. quite an easy song to do as well but i still always bottle it - and there's the unfamiliarity problem too of course, but good for early doors.

sympathy tick really, altho i don't mind it rly

except for this one really annoying bit where Kezza sez:

"you've just enough, in my own view, education to perform..."

when it surely would've been much better to say:

"you, in my own view, have just enough education to perform..."

seeing as 'just enough education to perform' was the title of the album it was from.

ANNOYING!

that is not the only annoying thing about that band.

Father Dougal: God, Ted, I've never met anyone like him anywhere. Who would he be like, Hitler or one of those mad fellas?
Father Ted: Oh, worse than Hitler! You wouldn't find Hitler playing jungle music at three o'clock in the morning.
