2001: A Pop Odyssey! As the Now series gets ever closer to today, a significant first - the first (modern) reality TV pop hit in the form of "Pure And Simple". Also debuting: Gorillaz, Bob The Builder, unlikely Poptimist icons Feeder, and nu-metal in the apologetic shape of Papa Roach.

All Saints' "Pure Shores" won Now 47 - hatas can reflect that it got one of the lowest winning %ages ever, with only 2/3 approval. Modjo second, Nelly third, and EVERYTHING got at least one vote - will we be able to say the same after this poll?

Ar, but they are sweet lads though- I went on the lash in Moscow with them and we got trollied at the hotel, but instead of attempting to take advantage of me when we broke into the jacuzzi, Taka said I'd had too much to drink and put me to bed like a gentleman. Aw. Actually that is not very rock n roll, perhaps I will have to accept they are indeed shite.
