Pop World Cup: There will be NO PWC match this week, this is because of a number of things, partly me being really busy, partly some format fiddling. So next Monday we will have TWO matches, and the week afer we will have another TWO. This means that I need MP3s from julietk and cis by this weekend, and MP3s from atommickbrane, katstevens, stevem78 and juror8 by NEXT weekend. There!



So in lieu of other orgafun let's take a quick look at the state of the Poptimist nation, April 25th 2006. I was going to do these questions as a poll but actually, it makes much more sense to just list 'em and you can put yr answers in the comments.

1/ possibly the knife album - nothing since then i can recall
2/ are you kidding. is ace
3/ first album i can recall buying = Clannad's Legend. OH YEAH WANNA MAKE SOMETHING OF IT
4/ of course it is. in a very limited sense
5/ Ladytron at Koko last year i think.
6/ "surprised" is tricky. I have some prog/ambient stuff, Porcupine Tree and Ecstasy of st Theresa from the mid90s i don't talk about much
7/ i don't think i do - there's loads of indie-ish stuff around now that i like the sound of but haven't taken the time to find out what they are (see 9)
8/ "oh stuff, pop and some less well knows electronic bits and pieces"
9/ i'm in a musical interest slump to be honest, so loads
